The
Chamber
Music Connection (CMC) Inc. was founded by Ms. Deborah Price in
1992 with the goals of preserving chamber music repertoire, instilling
in
students the values and skills of chamber music performance, promoting in
the community an understanding and appreciation of the art form, fostering a
desire to support chamber music, and encouraging, by example, the inclusion
of chamber music study in public and private school curriculum. The purpose
of CMC is to provide chamber music education for music students of all ages
(including adults) and abilities, from the earliest levels of proficiency to
the most advanced. Open to all string, wind, and piano students,
participants are afforded the opportunity to hear, see, and work with
world-class chamber music ensembles in concerts, master classes, and
workshops. CMC offers two 10-week semesters of workshops and coaching
sessions in fall and winter as well as a Spring Weekend festival and a
week-long summer program.
